Are Fuel Prices Stabilizing?

Fuel price hikes have begun to stabilize as coalition forces roll into Iraq. Gaining
control of the oil fields apparently prevented major sabotage, which would have sent oil
prices soaring. The AAA reported recently that the national average retail gasoline price
was holding at around $1.71 a gallon, which was actually down slightly from the all-time
high of $1.72 per gallon reached the previous week. Gasoline prices, however, crept higher
in some areas, particularly in California, where the price was still above $2.00 a gallon.
