BMW Recalls Late-Model Vehicles

Certain late-model BMW vehicles are being recalled for a possible defect that may cause
them to catch fire. The recall involves 22,345 vehicles, including the X5 SUV that is often
used for towing, and Z8, 3, and 7 Series models. The problems have been traced to defective
electric cooling fans and their switches. Owners who have questions should contact BMW at
