Commander Joins Jeep Family(2)

The Jeep Commander, a 4×4 with seven-passenger comfort, is the newest
member of the Jeep vehicle family. It’s built on the Grand Cherokee
platform and has a 109.5-inch wheelbase. The second- and third-row seats
fold flat and get progressively higher for better visibility.
Engine choices include a 3.7-liter V-6, 4.7-liter V-8 and the
5.7-liter Hemi V-8; all come with a five-speed automatic transmission.
There will be three four-wheel-drive systems available.
Commander pricing hasn’t been announced, but it goes on sale this fall.
