A fifth-wheel system is the preferred way to tow for many RVers, but no one can deny that the hitch is bulky, heavy, and takes up a lot of room in the truck bed. The new RV Goose Coupler (RVGC) from PopUp Towing Products allows you to easily tow your fifth-wheel trailer with a gooseneck ball. Simply unbolt the existing kingpin box from your fifth-wheel and bolt the RVGC in its place. The system’s patented self-latching coupler makes for an easy hitch and unhitch, and with a gvwr of 24,000 pounds (6,500 maximum hitch weight), according to the company, it will handle just about any fifth-wheel that has a strong enough frame for a gooseneck conversion. An adjustable version of the RVGC ($723) is available.
