Lazy Days RV Center, Seffner, Florida, plans to double the size of its service center to
244 service bays and open a new rally campground. Some of the service bays will be used
exclusively for body work, painting, cabinet work or chassis servicing. To staff the
expanded service center, Lazy Days, an employee-owned company, provides its own service
technician training. The training lasts from 30 days to several months, depending on the
job the person is being trained to perform. Graduates of the program receive Recreation
Vehicle Dealers Association-Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVDA-RVIA) Service
Technician Certification.
