Mercedes Van Coming to USA

DaimlerChrysler has announced that its truck-producing Freightliner division will assemble
and market the Sprinter light-duty van in North America in cooperation with Mercedes-Benz.
The Freightliner Sprinter has a gross vehicle weight rating up to 6 tons. It will be
offered in passenger van and cargo configurations. Freightliner plans to begin Sprinter
assembly in May in Gaffney, South Carolina.
