All three major domestic automakers — General Motors, Ford and DaimlerChrysler — have
recently announced plans to increase annual production of flex-fuel vehicles (which can run
on gasoline or a mix of ethanol and gasoline). The announced goal is two million cars and
trucks by the year 2010.
