RVSearch.com, the online classified advertising Web site owned by Affinity Group Inc. (AGI), has been redesigned with all-new consumer and dealer functionality. With easier search capability and more detailed listings, visitors may browse both private listings and dealer inventories of new and used recreational vehicles on one site for free.
According to JD Powers, 80 percent of customers research vehicle information and prices online prior to purchasing. “RVSearch.com recognizes the opportunity created by the new shopping-on-demand trend created by the Internet,” said AGI’s Vice President of Internet Services David Scifres. Consumers and dealers who are selling RVs can submit an unlimited description, and upload as many as 12 photos and a floorplan. Individual sellers can manage their ad listings online, while dealers can create showrooms and manage their inventory.
Buyers looking for a recreational vehicle on RVSearch.com have the benefit of setting up and saving search criteria specific to their needs. The “My RVSearch” portion of the Web site personalizes the consumer shopping experience and enables customers to shop anytime, anywhere, and to control their experience by saving vehicles and searches of interest to them.
With the rise in RV popularity, it is estimated that 9 million people will travel throughout North America in their RVs this year. In the next 10 years, it is estimated that the number of RV-owning households will increase by 15 percent from 9 million to 10.4 million.
