Recalls

  • Ford Motor Company has issued a safety recall on 2002 Crown Victoria models. The
affected vehicles, about half of which were originally sold in California as fleet
vehicles, could develop a leak and start a fire. Ford reports that a connector between
the two fuel tanks could leak and, if exposed to a spark, could result in explosion or
fire. Ford is contacting buyers and making repairs to the connector at no charge to the
    owner.
  • Nissan Pathfinders, from model years 1996-99 and fitted with Dunlop tires, are
being checked by federal investigators after three complaints were filed alleging the
tread on Dunlop Grandtrek TG35 P265/70R15 tires separated. The number of vehicles or
tires involved is unknown, but most of the tires have been replaced by now.
