Parked Vehicles Are Heat Hazards

It seems like almost everyone knows that children, pets or the elderly should not be left unattended in a vehicle, especially for an extended period or in the hot sun.

However, it keeps happening. A recent GM study reveals that humid heat poses an even greater danger to a person or pet trapped in a hot vehicle.

GM is developing sensor technology that would alert passersby to the presence of a child, vulnerable adult or pet trapped in a dangerously hot vehicle.
