More than 300 recreation areas have been created by the Bureau of Reclamation in 17 Western
states in such popular areas as Lakes Mead and Powell. To help discover these recreation
areas, Roundabout Publications is offering free of charge its new publication, Bureau of
Reclamation Lakes Guide. This 128-page book identifies the recreation opportunities and
visitor services available at each area. The offer is good through March 2000. Bureau of
Reclamation lakes are popular destinations for camping, fishing, hiking, boating, sailing,
kayaking, water skiing and other outdoor activities. More than 200 concession operations
located around the lakes provide additional facilities such as marinas, swimming beaches,
equestrian centers and golf courses. For a free copy of Bureau of Reclamation Lakes Guide,
send your name, address and $3 shipping and handling to Roundabout Publications, Free Lakes
Guide, P.O. Box 19235, Lenexa, Kansas 66285.
