Airstream and Tommy Bahama have teamed up to produce a special-edition, island-inspired travel trailer and Class B Interstate Touring Coach (in two floorplans) to pay tribute to great American weekends, time spent with family and friends, and the spirit of adventure and relaxation. The 28-foot trailer and coach will be produced for three years and come with a custom cooler and a Tommy Bahama beach-accessory kit that includes towels, wine glasses, a bottle opener, a camping chair and mugs.
Said Airstream CEO Bob Wheeler, “Airstream founder Wally Byam was an innovator and a lover of the outdoors who believed in an enduring promise of adventure, new experiences and faraway lands. That same freedom-loving spirit is also deeply woven into the essence of Tommy Bahama, and together we are on a mission to inspire travelers to get out there and experience all the road has to offer.”
The Relax Edition model has a spacious living area with Tommy Bahama print designs used on the separation and bathroom walls, custom fabric in the seating area, and a built-in lighted bar designed to hold Tommy Bahama double old-fashioned and stemless wine glasses, a beverage chiller with a drain, and an icemaker. Warm tones and wood-shutter blinds complement the Caribbean-style woven-vinyl flooring and leather pulls on the cabinets.
The trailer can sleep up to four with its queen bed outfitted in Tommy Bahama bedding and a fold-down dinette upholstered in Ultraleather. The trailer’s rear sport hatch (with screen) opens to offer panoramic views and ease of loading and unloading large equipment like surfboards and golf clubs. The outside features special graphics and a striped power awning.
MSRP for the Airstream Tommy Bahama Special Edition travel trailer is $114,600, and the Class B motorhome is $165,050.
