A rough estimate of the width of a new tv will be whatever the tv advertised size is. That is, a 22" lcd tv will be about 22 inches wide. They will probably be slightly smaller in width than that.

The height of the tv will probably not completely fill the existing vertical opening so you need to plan on how you want that space to be filled. On my installation, I simply left the space above the new tv open and installed a black painted piece of wood over the top. It is ok but not great in appearance.

One word of warning with Vizio's. I installed a 22 inch Vizio in my MH and discovered it did not have a signal strength indicator. Believe me, it is a royal pain in the a** to try aligning the antenna without a signal strength indicator. I've since replaced the Vizio with an Insignia from Best Buy. Just make sure that the tv you buy has a signal strength indicator someplace in the menu.

Nice job Chuck. I have been trying to figure out how to do something similar. I would appreciate it if you would tell me who makes that TV mount and the model number of it! I would like to take a look and see if it will work for me. Thank you. Gary
