I'm betting that a good many forum members started camping with parents and grandparents. I know that's how I started only it was about 50 years ago. Hope you have a great summer camping and meet LOTS of new friends. Glad to have you on the forum / Skip

You are starting on a lifelong adventure. My trip has lasted over 60 years and I am always finding something new. I am starting my grandkids out doing what I did as a kid. So don't be afraid to try anything. Chances are you cannot make a mistake that we have not made many times before. However you can always find something brand new that we have never seen before. Have fun out there.

Hey Codie! Glad to meet you. I am a gramma and I take my grand daughter Abigail camping with me. We are going the second weekend in Mya to a place in NC that has a jumping pillow. Codie, you NEED to check out those jumping pillows!

Hi Codie, I'm also a Grandma. We have one of our Granddaughters from GA with us every summer for 2 months wherever Grandpa is working. She is now 8 and anxious to visit with us again this year.

Last year, we were in a CG in Coolville, OH for most of the summer. Then she moved with us down to Birmingham, AL. There were many seasonal campers in OH and she met many new "friends". They would swing, ride bikes and just do "girl" things like watch "Camp Rock". Some stayed most of the summer, others would come during most weekends.

This summer, she'll be with us for 6 weeks on a river near Baltimore, MD. Then we'll move to another city/state for the rest of her visit. So we never know who she might meet this year.

Hey Codie,
I am a Nana to 3 beautiful grandchildren, 2 boys and 1 girl. The boys go with us all the time as they live near us. We have been able to take our granddaughter 1 time as they just moved to the East coast from the West coast this past year. We are looking forward to taking all 3 of them somewhere soon. We camped with our children when they were small and then we stopped camping and realy missed it. About 4 years ago we bought a popup so that we could get our grandsons involved in camping and have since upgraded to a hybrid. They love camping espescially the youngest one,the one time we got to take our granddaughter she had a really good time also.
Good luck to you and your family and enjoy your camping trips.
