Hey Pops,
Just a thought. If Calvin had aced every test at the SDF, both of you, would be living a different life right now. Everything happens for a reason. I bet his ability to focus has sharpened, now that he's where he was suppose to be!

Thanks Terri,

You are right, in that he has settled down so much since the first few weeks of his arrival and am very happy that he is with Harlee and me.

As I stated in the past, he’s tuned into great Kid, a fantastic companion/partner for Harlee and doing very well at his job.

Thanks everyone for letting me share our experiences and stories with you’all.

I prefer cats. Marm arrived by accident, a neighbor couldn't keep him.

Hey Pops,

What's up? Did you get your coach dried out? I sure hope so.

We are finally home and happy to be. Knock on wood, the only thing that did not go wrong was the newer Jeep. Worked great and we just knew that the old 1993 was about to cost us big $$$. I am going to post our vacation from HE** story soon.

Hope all is well with "The Clan"

Regards,
Dawn

I've been waiting for the 411 on your trip. The new jeep looks great and cool color as well.

One of the contractors let me use one of their "Industrial" blowers to dry out the rig. However, I did order a blower from Amazon to keep on hand.

Things are a bit tight, since I pulled in the slide and will keep it in till we have a break between contracts. I'll have the guy's at OrangeWood in AZ look into the leak.

It's a good thing that the Eagle although tight, is livable with the slide in.

Pops

PS I really would like to remove the carpet and replace it with tile or the tile look alike to save on wieght.

Hi Pops,

Sorry to keep you waiting for the 411 on our trip and I am also sorry that you will have to wait a little longer. I am still putting out fires! As we speak, Kevin in under the sink trying to get our old dishwasher out so he can install the new one that we purchased at the Sears Outlet Store.

As for the trip, I think that I mentioned that we incurred one problem after another. So, it is a very long story. My inclination is to post it in the Class A part of the forum because it is not really pet related. Excepting that Moonbeam and Chloie were there to watch us having one problem after another. The pups pictures and "thoughts" were posted on your rain or snow thread. They either look unhappy or feeling sorry for their Mommy and Daddy.

I would like some advice from our fellow forum members as to where to post our "Vacation from HE**" story and advise if can I post a message at the Pet Stop to let ya all know where to find our tale of woe.

Hope all is well with the Clan. I am unsure why your are keeping your slide in. Did it leak around the slide when it rained? Just wondering. As I remember your wet carpet was caused from a flood???

Regards,
Dawn

I would think Class A would be a good place to post your story since it’s about the problems you had with your rig.

In regards to our water problem, the water worked it’s way into the rig from the slide. I found the front half of the top portion of the slide wet. The water also made it’s way into the storage cabinets in this area as well.

When it stormed heavily in AZ, a little water would be present at the floor area at the front portion of the slide, but nothing like what happened this time (and it didn’t rain very hard, unlike the AZ storms).

After repairing a broken pin in the slide’s gear about three weeks ago (wouldn’t allow me to retract the slide), I though it easier to leave the slide in and am afraid that the pin may break again, since the slide isn’t working very well (?). It doesn’t extend or retract as smooth as it did previously.

It seems like there's no end...

On the Lighter Side of Life...

Before taking this shot, Calvin was passed out (deep sleep). When I got a drink from the frig. I saw the Kid’s bag of chicken snacks, which gave me an idea. As soon as I ruffled the bag, peaking from the side if the frig door. This is what I saw…

SNACK?????

Hi Pops,

Calvin looks like he is saying you woke me up for chicken! Now, where is it??? Can you please bring it to me. Huh! Huh! Guess Calvin goes to bed whenever he feels like it.

Your cabinetry in you rig is very lovely and luxurious looking. (I hesitate using the word lovely to a gentleman, but I like them). Very, very nice. Are those the storage cabinets that you commented that they were wet from the leak? That would be a shame if they were damaged.

What a coincidence that you should mention some of the problems that we are also currently having with our rig. I did mention the leaks and later on we had a problem with the slides not opening all the way and the jacks (one in particular) would not retract all the way. Also, a coincidence that this morning Kevin took our coach to our local RV Doctor, Allied Trailer here in San Leandro. Turns out that there is a fluid leak in a hose for the hydraulic system which is also involves the jacks. I don’t know what type of system you have for your slides, but this might be something for you to check on. As for gear problems, that is what is wrong with our step. The motor gears are trashed! New parts are on order.

Now, for the leaking problems, we have those too. Our dealer at Allied has a silicone that is a liquid instead of a gel like substance. He used this liquid around the areas suspected of leaking! Guess it is like self leveling liquids for floors, so it finds it’s way into the low or open places like water would. And, it dry’s fast. So, they water tested on flat land and Kevin drove the rig home and we tested on our hill. Wow! No leaks!!!! Our dealer did what the Bakersfield Dealer could not or did not do!!! Fixed the LEAK! I am aghast and Oh so happy! Of course I know that we will have to inspect and re-seal from time to time, but for now, we are good to go! Kevin says that I should give him (our Dealer friend) a big hug!!! He! He!

Well, got to run. Kevin is now working on problems with our stick home.

Regards and hugs to Harlee and Calvin,
Dawn

PS: I have not been on Pet Stop much this week. I am up to my eyeballs in problems, still!

Yeah, I spoil the Kids. If you look close Harlee is sleeping at the head of the bed. When ever I get up, she immediately stretchs into my space. She get's pissed when I push her over to her side, Dang Kids...LOL

Hi Pops,

That's a hefty doggie to push over. I have to put my foot under the sheets to get my 23 pound girls move so I can turn over.
