Anyone going to work at Amazon.com again or going to this year?
We worked there last year for the Christmas rush, not a bad job, not great, but educational. We will be there again this year starting around mid Oct until late Dec.
If you need info let me know.

We accepted positions starting end of Aug. Did you stay at the city RV park? We plan to stay there initially, then take a look at Big Chief and see if we want to move or not after they open.

I read about this in a magazine article. What kind of work do you do for them and what kind of hours per day and week?

We stayed at city RV park last year, they put in a bunch of new sites. Last year it paid $10.50 an hour for day shift 10 hour shifts, as you get closer to Christmas you get up to 60 hours a week.
Many different jobs, but all are standing or walking all dayon a concrete floor.
They are looking to over 500 work campers.

Just how cold will it get there and what chance do you take on the inside rig water pipes freezing. Don't want to damage my rig. I have been thinking about this but never RVed in real cold weather.

cold weather camping......we stayed a day to long when we worked in utah and got snowed in for a week,,,,,,,I tried putting a heater under the rig....insulating (very crude)...and still had my black water tank freeze.....now there is a good one.....water lines were in heated area but black tank was just insulated with about an inch of dense foam stuff.......anyway...once we got out,,,and headed south,,,,,,it took 4 days of well above freezing temps.........I got to fort stockton, tx before it thawed and drained....put 3 bags of ice in the toilet, the next day and drove all day and that cleaned it up like new. my sensors even worked right for a couple weeks...
anyway...I think if a person were to close in the under side and heat trace the water supply line and the sewer line and protect those I bet we could weather just about everything a stick built could stand....
I have been out during cold spells and the black water tank was the worst and that was because we were trapped by a snow storm in a CG....
no damage just time spent wandering what it would do.....
Happy trails

Last we had a few very cold days and few days of snow before we left around the 22nd of Dec. The snow stayed on ground one day.
I would say the city campground is best bet, because it is close to Amazon. It has a ton of trees, so be aware if they get an ice storm, move your rig.
We stay at city park last year, had 50 amp service and water, and a pump truck came three time a week to pump us out, so we could still use the washer and dry in our RV.
