I have a 19' Frontier Explorer Scout (Mfg. Longview, TX)

The other day I noticed that my wall outlets was out while the trailer had 110v power. I checked all the breakers, they were fine. I pulled all the automotive fuses (then realizing they are probably for 12 volt systems) and they were all fine. Then I realized the one and only GFCI at bathroom sink had tripped. When tripped it kills all 110 volt outlets.

That is for all the newbies out there. I started this RV thing only in Feb of this year and live in one while working out of state.

My understanding is that all the wall outlits are hooked to the one GFI. Thats the way mine is once the GFI is tripped all the wall outlits are dead.

My TT has outlets marked GFI. All those outlets are tied to the GFI outlet in the bathroom with the reset switch. It was a headscratcher on our last trip when non of the GFI's worked then I noticed the green LED was not lit on the outlet in the bathroom. Pressed the reset an voila! Power!

All of our wall outlets inside and the 1 outside are all connected to the 1 GFI in the bathroom.

(Just like home when the blow dryer doesn't work I always reset the GFI)

When an outlet is supplied its power thru a gfi out, it also becomes protected as if it were a gfi outlet. The same is true if a circuit of outlets is attached to a gfi circuit breaker. Both are an excellent practise in small areas like an rv where an electric appliance could possibly come in contact with water.

on mine i'm not sure what ones are tied to it but i have already learned my lesson.
i always was under the impression that the socket was either normal or gfi-i didn't know you could tie several sockets to a single gfi. found this out on a previous TT, the outside outlet died but everything else worked(so i thought).
figured i needed to replace the outside one till i noticed the gfi by the bathroom sink was tripped(never use it so never noticed it). reset it and just for grins i decided to test the outside one and surprize, surprize. of course i had to trip/reset it a few times to make sure. now when one goes, chk the breakers 1st, then the gfi's. so far-so good.

It would be pretty silly of a manufacturer to NOT include ALL outlets under GFI protection. doesn't matter WHERE it's located it'll still shock you under the right circumstances. The thing to remember is that your RV MAY have more than one GFI circuit so there may be more than one master outlet.

Good post. This same thing happened in my cabin. GFI was behind a night light, glowing orange. I was ready to call electrician when I removed the night light. Now I know..................
