Last camping trip for us was the last weekend in October and it was cold. I bought anti - fog by RainX and applied it to the inside of the windows. Helped some but not completely.
My thermal windows at home fog badly in the winter, it's a humidity thing.

If you are looking at a used AF I would do some major inspecting before the purchase just do a search in the Truck Camper Forum and look for Fatfox posts he has some very good info and pictures on a leaking TC plus there is others. If you are buying new they should honor their warranty. I have not heard that AF TT's or Fifth Wheels leak but I would be wondering

Hey Fisherguy, wave as you head west Saturday afternoon on I-5! We live on the hill south of the center of Spokane (it's called the South Hill! Go figure.) and love our 2003 Komfort 27 "Rear Lounge". I was out to Freedom RV a few weeks ago "just looking" and they had quite a number of Komforts and Trailblazers on the lot . . . and they weren't moving (selling, that is). One of the salesmen showed me around the lot and couldn't wait to tell me what a good deal he could make for me. So, if this doesn't get to you too late, and you have the time and inclination, LOOK AROUND the lot. I seem to remember that I saw at least one model that claimed to have a cold weather package (although I didn't look at the windows). The Trailblazers (the line "below" the Komforts) seem to be about the equivalent quality of the 2003 Komfort that we have, which is pretty darn good. One thing: LOOK AT THE TIRE RATING. "C" rated is pretty standard, but not really adequate (the GVWR is usually based on the tire rating, not just on the Thor trailers, but on most). If you can, pressure them for at least "D" rated tires, you'll be glad you did. Anyway, good luck and keep in mind that they are HUNGRY . . . and don't forget to wave on your way west with that big grin on your face!

I think you will love that komfort. We finally had a chance to try it for several days where the temps at night were in the 20's. We stayed as warm as toast and the heater did not run constantly. We used about a gallon of propane a day but left the hotwater heater on all the time and used the stove and oven. We are really pleased with ours.

Hi Tom,
I was sleeping when you posted this, got up early Sat morning and headed down. We're back now, trailer is out front and we're looking forward to the spring. It'd 6½ feet longer than our old trailer so it seems HUGE to us but I'm sure we'll get used to it.
Stopped at Camping World and picked up some stuff including a cover for it for the winter. That's a great store, way cheaper than out local RV places.

Both are excellent and well above the normal quality. We Looked very carefully at both and the floor plan drove our final decision. We simply liked the one from Komfort more.
That said, we now have 5 seasons of use on our Komfort and almost 25000 miles with no problems whatsoever. We never needed to use the 2 year warranty it came with. It is as nice today as the day it left the dealer.
We did put on a new set of tires last year and I have upgraded the stereo system.
If we ever wear it out, we will purchase another one from them.

Fisherguy: glad you made it back OK. What did you find with the windows? And, in another thread you wondered about the tire load ratings, what did you do there? What kind of hitch did you get, and how did it tow? An interested public wants to know (well, at least one of us does).
