We recently took an extended trip out West with our Jayco Seneca 35GS, pulling a dingy. I checked the lights on dingy after hooking up to MH before leaving home and everything was working fine. About half way through our 6500 mile trip we discovered that we no longer had turn signals or brake lights on dingy when connected to MH. I checked lights with volt meter at connector plug on MH and was not getting power for turn signals and brake lights at that point. I had checked at truck repair shop, but they did not have wiring diagram and could not correct problem. We do not have anyone near us that will work on this problem. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram that will show this trailer wiring for the 2008 c5500 Kodiak? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

There is another plug just forward of the hitch under the unit. Did you check that? It should have been wrapped in tape but it may have seperated. Also check the ground wire going to the 7 wire connector.

I also believe a Chevy (at least on HD pickups) has one fuse for the truck turn signals and another for the trailer independent of each other.

Thanks for the replies.
I checked the plug foward of the hitch and I am not getting voltage for turn signals and brake lights at this plug. The problem is in front of this plug.
Where are the fuses for the trailer lights located on unit?

Fuse for Trailer Lights is #13 on page B12 and B13 of electrical manual I linked above. This fuse block is under passenger side of dash. Some chassis have a upgraded option of circuit breakers like mine has. If you find yours is blown. Consider putting a circuit breaker in its place.
Relays that run trailer lights are also located in this area.

Why yes I had the very same problem except the head lites also would not turn on. We were getting ready to pull out for ALB from Tn. My selling dealer tech's first question was about hooking up trailer.
Said it happens all the time. Changed fuse and problem solved. Said to make sure the center ground post on the 7 (or is it 6) wire connector plug grounds first with your toad.

Do you have brake lights on the Seneca and does you cruise control work? If not, you could have a problem with your brake light switch. This has been a big problem on the Kodiak.

I have to apologize as the diagrams I have do not include the towed trailer wiring. I made two blow ups on photograph paper to send but upon re-reading the prints I discovered they did not include the trailer wiring. Sorry for the mix up.
