I have a problem with the selector switch for the A/C, vent, defroster, heater, etc on my 2007 Seneca. No matter which position the selector switch is in, it blows air from the windshield vent, heater vent and dash vents at the same time. I'm sure it is a vaccuum hose problem, but I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and how should I proceed with trouble shooting the problem?

I was having problems with vacumm leaks in my rig and ended up removing the control panel and vacumm testing each line. There is probably an easy way but that is what I had to do. It may be that the vacumm line supplying vacumm to the controls is bad and your system is reverting to the default. A good AC shop can probably tell you pretty quick.

You might be having trouble with the HVAC control module since it's all electronic and sometimes just needs to be reset or reprogrammed at the dealer.

I would try disconnecting the chassis batteries for 10-15 minutes to reset the module. Then turn the key to the on position for 30 seconds before starting.

The Kodiak chassis MH's have a vacuum operated HVAC system. Here is a link to schematic of vacuum system. There is a vacuum pump someplace on the engine or passenger side frame rail.
To get at the controls you will need to remove the outer instrument panel bezel. Start pulling out on right side and work loose across dash.
A 2008 Kodiak should still be under warranty. Maybe a trip to the dealer is needed.

Got a chance to look for vacuum pump. On my 2004 it is located on passenger side of radiator assembly. Flipped the hood forward and found it and a small tank.

I've been out of town since shortly after the original post. I will be home this week-end and will hopefully have a chance to track down the problem. I did find Desert Diesel's response interesting, because the problem started after I had to jump start the truck due to weak batteries. We'll see. I appreciate all of the input and will advise when the problem is fixed.

Just curious, but how did you jump start the coach?

I utilized a 12 volt rechargable jump-start battery box connected to the positive lead in the access panel located under the hood on the passenger side. I grounded to the frame.

Did you know you can jump yourself with the generator? Start up the genny, sit behind the wheel and press and hold the white "connect" button next to the steering wheel and turn the key. The Duramax should start right up!
