At home I go to a gym 3 to 5 times a week, depending on weather and task around the house & shop. On the road I ride a mountain bike, kayak & take the dog for long walks. I still manage to maintain that round shape.

Lay in bed wiggle the toes on both feet, you are doing an Olypic Marathon, finish off by drinking a wee dram of good single malt the way the Scots do, Neat.

Now you're in great shape don't you feel better already? If not drink 4 or 5 more Scotch's you'll feel much better.

Wow!

I am amazed at how many people simply do not take staying in shape seriously.

That amazes me as well. But if any of the posters has a heart attack and resultant by-pass surgery they may think twice about diet and exercise.

Us too! There's no reason to let yourself fall into disrepair. We use portion control, drink lots of water and jog everyday. We're not talking marathons here, just keeping the cardio in good condition and managing our weight. There's probably heaps of comical comments about what we do, but it's our choice not to "waddle" through life. Our bodies are our temples and we treat them with respect. You don't have to become fixated, but just look at your fellow man/woman and you can see that we could do better. Everything in moderation.

My 2 cents, anyway.

Cheers,
Kevin.

Get some stretch bands (resistance bands). You can use them for all kinds of exercises and they don't take up any room at all in your RV. If you are not familiar with them, google stretch bands and you will find instructions for their use. Those, and some walking, will keep you in pretty good shape.

Your health is all you have. People should take this seriously.I believe a person should get a minimum of 30 minutes excersize a day. I do calisthenics and biking when rving.

My main forms of exercise are brisk walking, hiking and using an elastic band thingy to improve upper body strength.

I fought the battle of weight control until about 3 years ago. A bad back limits what I can do now. Some walking, no longer ride my bike or go to the gym. At 69 and 6 ft. my doctor is happy with my weight as long as I keep it below 220. I'm diabetic and have never had a related problem. Yea I'd like to be 180 again but thats 15 years ago. I'm satisfied with myself and to me thats what means the most to me.
