I want to make a 7 pin male connector plug that will take the ever hot lead and put it back into my running light lead so I can run my running lights if I want to while I am camped and unhooked from Tow vehicle. Anyone know how to do this? Is this safe and should I put an inline fuse on as well?I know you are thinking why? Well a couple of times we have come back to camp late in total darkness and, not wanting to leave our bright porch lite on, we had a hard time finding our rig amidst all the other big white boxes. Thanks much.

A post light with a photo cell screwed into the socket then the light bulb screwed into it. Your DW can decorate the post light for the season and also have a light that will turn on automatically when it gets dark so you can see how to get your key in the lock after you have treated her to a dinner. Works for me.

Stick a night light in the window. Problem solved. Unless of course you want to make some work for yourself

Why would you want to antagonize your neighbors like that?

Hi,

You just need a short piece of wire with some 1/4" spade connectors on each end. Yes a 20 amp auto fuse can be put inline if you like. Then jump wires 3 and 4 as described above. Might cost me $0.40 to make one up with spare wire and fittings that I keep on my work truck.

Good Luck,

Fred.

Why should this bother the neigbors???? I jump my plug out quite often, it is an easy way to mark your camper, and in large parks makes it easy to find your way home. Makes it very easy for friends to find you as well. Seems it don't take much to annoy some people, bet they wouldn't like my golf cart, my cup, my fire, or anything else about me!!!! Oh well, you can't make everyone happy, so don't worry/consider the grouches. Many need to get a life.

2003 Jayco 308fbs eagle 33' tt, towed by a 2003 Ram 3500 slt, quad cab dually, cummins diesel ho, trailer towing package, with 6 speed manual. Hauls better 1/2, 3 kids, myself, and a 2003 ez go clays car.. I have added so far, neon lights, clearance lights, back up lights, black light, lift kit, mud tires, and everything necessary to make the golf cart street legal. It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. I use to use a short piece of #12 copper wire cut into a horseshoe shape and jumper between #3 and #4. Now use a 10 amp flat spade automotive type fuse. Just plug it in #3 and #4. A whole lot simpler and cheaper than getting a plug and doing a wire around.
