This thread will be for those who own a lippert frame and associated running gear. Keep the posts to facts and do NOT bash the company. If a post is made that contains a "bashing" and no facts, it will be gone. I want to see that those with problems try to get a resoulution. Lets try to keep this on track. Do NOT start a new thread about Lippert.

On the positive side, I have a Lippert frame, landing gear, and sliders on my 2006 Cougar and I haven't had a problem to date. While I'm sure that, like everything, there have been problems with Lippert products, I can't help but wonder how many problems there have been compared to those who haven't had any.
As always, on this and any other forum, we see the complaints and problems as opposed to the good side of a product.
I can only hope that those of us who have had no problems with Lippert frames or products will weigh-in with their opinions.

Thanks sirdrakejr's
We have just purchased our first 5 er. I was wondering if I made a mistake. I am hoping that these guys are just bashing Leppert because they might of had a bad experiences. I am sure if there was a great cause for concern the manufactures would not use there frames.

We have a 2003 Springdale 245 and have had no problems other then a broken spring. I found the shackles were worn so I replaced them all, plus new bushings. On the skackles I did as a friendsuggested, he works on trailes, I doubleed them up. Less chance to break and better wear.

I had an axle that was out of "tow" and wore the tire out in 500 miles. When I gave the serial # and mfg date to Lippert on the phone they told me since I did not purchase the trailer new it was not covered. This is an 06 model and I had read about the problems with Lippert on this forum and others. When I told them I knew about their reputation she immediately agreed to sell me a new axle for dealer cost + shipping. I installed it myself and now have no issues...so far.

We have a 06 Montana 3400 and have had no problems with the Lippert Frame. Forgot to mention that we have Lippert slides and hydraulics...also no problems.

We have an 08' Bighorn, have lived in it for 2 1/2 years, put over 35,000 miles on it and not one frame problem. We did have an axle that was "flat" and toeing out the tires...Lippert replaced it without a problem. We also had a broken spring that was quickly replaced. I really feel that their "reputation", due to the fact they make the majority of the frames for the RV industry...is blown out of proportion on these forums.
Have people had issues? definitely! Am I trying to minimize those issues? definitley not. However, compared to the large number of units they make, I really doubt they have any more problems than any other manufacturer...it just gives the appearance.
I would not hesitate to buy another unit with a Lippert frame, based on my own experiences so far...JMHO.

I don't understand why some call others messages about their experiences which may not be good as "bashing" a certain product. I would think we would want to know both sides and experiences with a certain product.
