Mine has small cracks at each screw. I repsumed from overtightening.

I noticed last year the skylight on my '06 Wilderness had cracked at the corners of the dome not near the screw holes. I caulked the crackes and ordered a new skylight from my dealer, about $35 shipped. I installed the skylight this past spring as part of getting it ready for the camping season. The original skylight was extremely brittle and broke into many pieces when I tried to take it off. The new skylight seemed to be of a different material. I certainly hope it lasts a while although replacement was pretty easy if I need to do it again.

My 05 Terry has the same problem. Small hairline cracks right at the corners and the material of the dome looks like it's 100 years old. Mine leaked also. What you want to do is not just caulk the cracks but fill the void between the caulking tape and the dome so no water collects there. This will also cover the cracks that the water collected on. I used the stiff style dicor. Build it up so the water drains away from the dome and you should be good. No more leaks in the last two years.

My '05 had hairline cracks around many of the screw holes. Looked like overtightening, but the entire skylight was UV damaged from 5 years of exposure.

It didn't leak but I replaced it this summer. For my use in hot southwest, I'd prefer not to have a skylight.

I bought a new skylight and a big roll of Eternabond tape today. I will replace the old, cracked skylight either tomorrow or Monday. As usual, I will post several pics of the project. The new skylight is a polycarbonate that I hope will last longer than the original one.

I've got the same project going today. Skylight turned extremely brittle and had some hairline crack. Got a new skylight and a big fat roll of Eternabond. Hopefully this light will last a little longer. Seems to be better quality than the original equipment.

I replaced the skylight with one from a different manufacturer. The new one is polycarbonate, and I hope it lasts longer than two years. Here are some pics of the replacement:

Old skylight:

You can see how cracked it was from the bottom:

New skylight:

Skylight opening:

New skylight screwed down:

Sealed up with Eternabond:

I sprayed the whole thing down with 303 protectant. I hope the sun doesn't crack this one.
