Salut,
We are in Biloxi, MS and began our travels from Ottawa via Nashville TN, Memphis TN, Visckburg, TN, New Orleans, LA.
The campgrounds we stayed were all fine:
In Nashville = Nashville Country RV Park (PA=Passport America 50% off)
In Memphis = Elvis Presley blvd RV Park next to Graceland also with PA
In Vicksburg MS 1/2 way to New Orleans = Ameristar Casino RV Park
In New Orleans = Pontchartrain Landing RV Park with PA and free shuttles to New Orleans
In Biloxi MS = Cajun RV Park 600 ft from beach
Bon voyage

Bayou Segnette State Park is a nice place to stay while visiting New Orleans and Cajun country.

I agree with jrhinse, except with Memphis. Substitute Tom Sawyer campground across the river in West Memphis. Easy to get to off I-55, on the river(sometimes in the river).

Another idea that we have enjoyed is the Natchez Trace parkway from Nashville to Natchez, Mississippi, then on to N.O. Just not in a hurry, it is 50 MPH all the way. but a nice two-lane drive with very little traffic. The part from Nashville down about 30 miles is thru the hills, and has lots of curves, but then it settles out and is mostly easy rolling curves and easy hills. Nice COE campground and state parks in Mississippi. Vicksburg is a god stop, just a bit off the Parkway.
