I have a Yamaha yz125 that has been sitting in my garge since last riding season. It has been on a stand with wheels off the ground. The rear tire is flat. I put air in it and next day flat again. Do you think tube needs to be changed or does it just need to be riden once I put air back in it? Dumb question but I just had the tube changed 2 rides ago and we are leaving on a trip for Holloween.

Look for a nail or some reason for the flat. Try the valve core. If neither it probably can be patched. Good luck

+1 on above. No way I'd ride without finding and fixing air loss.

did they lock the tube in correctly, might have spun and caused a leak, or the valve core is shot or you picked up a nail or something else. pump it up and run water from your garden hose real slow over the entire tire and look for bubbles. they also might have pinched the tube getting it back into the tire and wheel. M/C tires and tubes are very hard to replace, they can go bad from the tools used to take them off and on.

My boys Honda's end up with the same problem from time to time. the rear tire slides just a bit on the rim and it places pressure on the valve stem. Stem usually ends up at an angle and ends up causing a slight tear where the stem meets the rubber tube

New heavy duty tube and rim lock or it could be bad tube valve core. Still rim lock.JMHO

Check all of the pros and cons before you use Slime. If it leaks inside of the tire it may ruin it as well as the tube.

Thanks for all the info. I tightend the vavle stem but still lost air. Do those go bad? I will try the water thing and then I may just have to take the tire in.
