Has anyone purchased tires from Eastern Marine online/Trailertires.com? Or anyone running the "Loadstar" brand trailer tires? Looking for opinions on both. Thanks for any input you have.

Stay away from Loadstar tires, pure trash. Had to remove mine after only 1 year and 5,800 miles.

Note some on-line tire sales are a "good" (read cheap) price because the tires are VERY OLD. Ask Tire Rack to guarantee tire age, bet they will not even guarantee under four YEARS old. Can't say if Eastern Marine is also dumping old tires, but IMO at least ask.

After reading all of the tire post I could find on this forum and based upon my trailer needs I decided to go with the Maxxis M8008 ST Radials for my boat trailer. The Maxxis website was very helpfull in locating a local dealer and this morning I got three new ST225/75R15 tires (2 for the road + 1 spare) for just $310 including: mounting, ballancing, stems, old tire disposal and tax.

I could not find LT tires for that and the only other thing I found cheeper in my area were E rated China made tires. I did not need the E rating so I went with the Maxxis. Did I mention that the tires were made in March of this year? So, I realy did get NEW tires.

Independent tests have shown that round tires will outperform all other shapes.

I put Loadstar bias-ply LR D 13" tires on my 25'TT after the Goodyear and Maxxis radials kept coming apart. Put 9,000 miles on them this summer and they held up OK. Except that I put the rated 65 psi in them (1650 lbs capacity) and the front tires wore down around the center. I wrote Kenda Tires. They recommended only 50 psi for the actual 1200# load. I'll buy more Loadstars for the next trip.

I went ahead and bought through Eastern Marine online/Trailertires.com. Ordered on a Friday and the tires came in on Thursday. Goodyear Marathons on white spoke rims, mounted and ready to go, were $500 with shipping to my door. The tire code is a 3309, so they were made the 33rd week of 2009, is the way I read it. That should be the 1st week of August, so they haven't been hidden in the the back of the warehouse. Nice, freindly service and good prices from what I have checked on. And yes, there are round.
