My OE San-T-Flush system works fine with back flow preventer hose bibs, which have been common here for years.

I installed both of mine in the end of the tank (actually the side) opposite the drain(s). When in use the spray not only cleans the tank, it actually "pushes" everything out the drain.

I think a lot of the early Tornado rinsers blew up from overly high water pressure being applied too rapidly. I put a pressure control (not adjustable) on my gray hose and I turn the water on slowly to let them spin up gradually as opposed to hitting them with sudden blast of water. I put quick connects on both of them and I have a lever valve on the gray hose at the connection to the TT end to control the water flow. Had mine on this TT for several years now and they work great.
