Saw the post about the foldout beds and someone mentioned the Cub with the Therm-a-rest auto pop dome tent. I did a google to check out this hybrid since I was not sure what they were discussing and I really liked what I saw. This looks like a nice trailer. I know in the past the Cub was really a heavy unit but I guess they have made some improvements. I do like the layout of the 214 and will try to find a dealer who sells them to do a walk thru. Does anyone own on of these units?

We have a 05 214 which we really enjoy. It doesn't have the Therm-a-rest tent covers. We do use the pop-up gizmos on the bunk ends.
What sold us on the 214 was the U dinette. Tows real easy with 1/2 ton pick-up. We just got back from southern Utah 1550 miles with no problems. I believe the 214 is worth your time to look at.

you might also look for a Kodiak dealer. it's the sister line to the Cub and shares the same floorplans.

I was at the Dutchmen plant this past summer and they told me the fast asleep bunkends were discontinued due to quality issues with the Chinese tenting supplier. They have switched back to the American supplier.

I have the non-fast asleep tenting.

Is the fast asleep bunkends the dome looking ones? I really liked the look of those, it seem to give you more head room. Nothing like sitting up in the morning and hitting your head on the canvas and getting rained on!!! That will really wake you up.

We really like our 214. But maybe on the edge of your towing capabilities with your Trailblazer. Ours weighs around 4500 lbs. Kodiak 214 is the same unit. I have heard of issues with the Therm-a-rest ends, but the head room would be nice. Either way this is a great trailer and the slide out and U-shaped dinette on the side is what we really like as well.

We would not tow with the Trailblazer, we will be getting either a F150 or Tundra. Both of these will tow with no problem.

I have an 09 214, our first, we love it. The head room is awesome, and folds up really nice. The u shaped dinette and slide are the greatest. There is enough room even with a pac n play. Cannot wait till that is gone. Only been out about 5 times since we bought it this year. Did tow with trailblazer but quickly traded it in for a Ram 1500, I would have liked to get the 2500 but the 1500 works great, definitely worth looking at.

We have a small 160 kodiak with thermarest bunkends. We love the room and have had no problems. A larger eating area would have been nice but we did not want to risk towing anything bigger with a mini van. We love our cozy kodiak.
