I understand Palm Lake just reopened.
Looking for clean location in the Gulf Shores area that might have space for month of Feb. 2010

If you cannot find a place, P M
me, and I will suggest some places
near (15,20 miles) from Gulf Shores
that will likely have room. These
would be between Gulf Shores and
Pensacola.
I have driven past Palm Lake, and
it LOOKED OK from the highway.
Rumors area that it failed financially,
and the bank reopened it. It may have
been based on SELLING lots, not renting
them........recession probably put a stop
to that !

Palm Lake had openings 2 weeks ago. We had a reservation but changed our mind. We are going somewhere in Florida instead. Sounds like a nice place. The staff are great on the phone anyhow.

We stayed there last Feb and enjoyed our stay there. I understand it has changed owners since we were there. We will be at Anchor Aweigh in Foley Ala. this year. We have stayed at Anchors Aweigh before. But went to Florida for Jan and Feb but after one month we came back to Gulf Shores area didn't really like the Gulf side of Florida. We couldn't get into Anchors Aweigh because they are always full for Jan and Feb each year. But we did get into Palm Lake and as I said we enjoyed our stay there. We prefer concrete pads etc. GBY....
