Well, not really a drive in theater but I've been noticing folks using projectors outside their coaches and showing movies on a large screen, or on the side of the coach. I really thought this was an awesome idea and wanted to get some information as to the type of projectors and background/screens folks are using.

Any tips on brands and sound systems to accompany the projector would be appreciated.

Looks like a cool start anyway. It's the one we want.

We have a DLP Viewsonic by Texas Instruments and we use a white bedsheet as a screen.

We use an office surplus projector, hooked up to a laptop, using some surplus speakers(with sub). This is all projected on a dollar store shower curtain, held on by suction cups from the dollar store. Pretty much anything will work, as long as the neighbors don't mind.

This thread is discussing entertainment and rv'ing and is better suited for Lifestyle as ATC is for "non'rving" topics.

I hope the neighbors arent having to look and listen to the noise and light pollution.

Kinda what I was thinking-a long day on the road, tired, looking for some rest, when the next door neighbor decides to show a shoot em up on the side of his coach. Doesn't seem appropriate for campgrounds..

LOL. I doubt playing a movie outside in the middle of 100k people at Glamis, California with sand rails and ATV's ripping through our camp site is going to bother anyone, but thanks for your concern.

You must be an older gentleman that likes peace and quiet. I can respect that, but perhaps having a bit more information before you respond to something you know little to nothing about.

The question was in regards to something other than your being bothered by a sound and light show. But thanks for the input. I'll give your statement the attention it deserves and file it appopriately.

Now if you have something to offer in regards to my original question, like the best equipment, etc, then I would welcome your thoughts.

Thanks again.
