Where does your attempt to access break down? Do you get any error messages?

When you get to the screen that starts with "Type of Migratory Status", near the bottom of the screen you will see a line titled "Country Destination" and a box filled with "Estados Unidos" (United States). This is a little misleading, what they are asking for is what country you are from.

Just change the box to "Canada" by selecting it from the drop-down menu and the "State" box will change from "Alabama" to "Alberta". Once this change happens, you can then select your province from the drop-down menu.

Hope this helps

PS. this is the first time I've visited the site since I wrote my original review on it. I've got to admit that it's improved considerably. But I still don't understand all that bull about clearing out your cookies and browser history at the start. It doesn't appear to have any effect on the operation of the site. Maybe it's needed if you're using a public computer that may have previous versions (or cookies) of the website.

Found the Problem! It only works with Internet Explorer Not with FireFox!

There are still a few minor issues with the process and there is an extra charge if You want to prepay and have the Documents delivered, but sure beats the Heck out of Lining up at the Km 21 Check point.

You still Must obtain the FMT at the Border or Check Point! And of course get Your Passport stamped!

The really interesting thing is that the Cost for the Motor Home 10 year Permit and the Cost for the Car 180 Days is the same when paying on line!

I'm not sure about Canada, but US citizens can also get their FM-T on-line and pre-paid; but you still have to get it stamped when you enter Mexico, so it doesn't eliminate the migracion stop completely. It does eliminate going to the banjercito for payment and then returning to migracion.

These are available from most of the Mexico traval clubs. I normally use Vagabundos. They will ship your pre-paid and all filled out FM-T directly to you.

Here is a Cost Break down that explains the Permit fees:

Dear Rob

Thanks for your email.

The service fee for a temporary import permit for a vehicle by Internet is 49.50 USD.

The service fee in a general Consulate of Mexico is 39.60 USD and at the Border 29.70 USD

Regardless of the vehicle type, Car for 180 days, Boat or Motorhome for 10 years, the service fee is always the same. Our invoicing system is working correct. As you can see, we don’t charge for vehicle size, weight or type, we just charge for the service, what are the sticker and the delivery by courier service. But I don’t want to bother you with our overhead cost structure breakdown.

I wish you a pleasant trip to Mexico.

With best regards

The above was an e-mail response from the Mexican Gov't Office that handles the TIP's to an inquiry that I had regarding the price structure.

My concern was because several years ago when the First 10 year Permits were issued the fee for the 10 year Permit was considerably higher than the 180 Day Permit. That said over the Years it worked out to be cheaper !

As it stands now the Cost is the same !

We applied for our holograms on Oct 7th. Received the trailer one on Oct 21st by courier-DHL. The truck hologram came on Nov 9th-same courier service. We then sent digital scans back to Banjercito of our documents and we're ready to go,but not until Dec 29th.

Thanks to both of you for the information. I'm going to include it in the TIP section of my sticky.
