You should know what you're talking about before just firing off false info. Chevy has not had "a lot" of problems with injectors. There was one model that had a problem and it was well covered in a warranty/recall.
Please backup your claim or stop spewing BS.....
I don't know where you have been but the injector problem is a well known fact! I know someone that had there engine oil diluted with diesel fuel, so I do know what I am talkng about. I also don't like the idea of aluminum heads, or crankcase on a diesel. It is you spewing the BS!
2003 Jayco 308fbs eagle 33' tt, towed by a 2003 Ram 3500 slt, quad cab dually, cummins diesel ho, trailer towing package, with 6 speed manual. Hauls better 1/2, 3 kids, myself, and a 2003 ez go clays car.. I have added so far, neon lights, clearance lights, back up lights, black light, lift kit, mud tires, and everything necessary to make the golf cart street legal. It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. The injector problem was only on the LB7 (2001-2004.5). How about you educate me, or maybe all of us on the negatives of the GMC Duramax aluminum heads please. Is your Cummins missing its crankcase?
For the OP, there is nothing wrong with the Duramax or its heads. There were injector problems in the origanal LB7 motor, that problem is gone.

Ha ha ha ha, this thread is funny.
I don't know where his crankcase went, (he might look under his crank? ) but he is missing two pistons and rods.
I wonder what all the Ford people are going to say when their new oil burner comes out, with.............horror of all horrors........aluminum heads!!!! I knew what they said in 2002. "It's going to melt down". "That will never work!!" "Aluminum is too soft."
Now I wonder what the Cummins people are going to say? Yes, Cummins was working on an aluminum head diesel. Oh my!!!

The duramax has an alumium crankcase, and duhhh sure the Cummins has a cast iron cankcase. The Cummins also produces the power of the V8 engines on only 6 cylinders. The Cummins is also a much simpler desgn, less parts to go wrong, and easier to work on. The Cummins will also use less fuel, an is rated for a longer life. While we were purchasing our truck the duramax was solving piston slap problems, and injector issues. I wanted the proven design of the Cummins, not a "We fixed those issues engine". I did a lot of research and bought what I felt was the best engine at the time for me. I am now close to 80,000 miles, the engine runs like new, dosen't smoke, I can squeeze 22 MPG solo out of it, and 16 MPG towng at 45 MPH. I had 3 warranty issues involving a light, heater door, and back up light switch.

Aaaaa, care to share a link that talks about piston slap problems with a D-Max?
What problems have you seen with an aluminum oil "pan"?
What problmes have you seen with aluminum heads?
I'm starting to agree with mtofell1.
