A handy RV friend had small tools that he had used in his previous business and he was able to get the door open. Doors for our 2002 model RV are no longer available but a repplacement latch is available. One place DH called wanted just over $20.00 for a latch and another place on the east coast wanted just under $10.00 for a latch. One was ordered and express shipped to us. DH knew how to take the door apart as we had replaced the glass a while back.
The latch is about the size of a large comb.
