Our true friend and constant companion of 13 1/2 years had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure about 2 months ago. It was hard on him and in the last week, he was having a hard time with his breathing and had a bad cough. This morning he ate, went outside and then came back into the RV, went to his favorite spot and went to sleep, for the final time. He had a good life and was a faithful companion, now he is at peace and very sadly missed by the both of us.

Bob and Betsy,

Oh my gosh! Your little Speedy was able to take a final walk and go to sleep in his favorite spot. I hope this brings you some comfort....although your hearts must certainly be broken.

It sounds like the love and devotion went both ways. So sorry your loss.

Please take care,
Dee

I am so sorry you've lost such a wonderful part of your family, but he'll be in your hearts forever.

Sounds as though he was loved and went peacefully. That's about all anyone can ask but it does little to relieve the pain of loosing him. My condolences.

Oh, that has to hurt. Speedy reminds me a lot of our little Poquita, who is 12½ and showing signs of age. What a wonderful last day your little guy had. We all should be so lucky. My sympathies for the very great loss you both are enduring.
