Any suggestions on where to camp in St. Augustine? My husband and I have never been and have no idea where to stay. We have a 25 foot trailer and travel with our 2 dogs.

If you like state parks,Anastasia S.P. is right in St Augustine. Check rvparkreviews for St Augustine and you can read comments from folks who have camped in the area.

We just spent a few days at North Beach RV resort in St Augustine, very nice and would definately return Have also heard Bryn Mawr(spelling?) is nice but have never been there. That is a beautiful area with much to do. Enjoy

South of town at Faver Dykes State Park. We loved it. If you want a quiet place to relax in nature and not a resort Faver Dykes is awesome. I have site photos if you need them.

Anastasia is one of my favorites.

Also, you will find the Old City (the historic area on St George Street) is very dog friendly. So you can bring them on a leash.

Dogs are allowed on the beach at Northbeach and Bryn Mawr. We like them both, but at Bryn Mawr you can hear the ocean and if you get an oceanfront spot you can sit at the gazebos' by your space and watch the ocean. BM is smaller, tighter and older but closer to all the restaurants and stores. Matter of taste. NB is shadier and has bigger sites but it is a hundred yards or more to the beach which is across the street. It also has a dock on the intracoastal.

We stayed at Anastasia State Park on our visit to St. Augustine and have no problems recommending it to anyone. Have a great trip.

North Beach has the IntraCoastal Waterway and Aunt Kate's restaurant on one end of their grounds and the Atlantic Ocean with The Reef restaurant on the other. You can also walk 1/3 of a mile to Cap's, another restaurant. The grounds offer lots of vegetation; and while the facilities aren't new, they're maintained well. The staff is helpful and pleasant. It is located about 3 miles north of downtown St. Augustine on A1A. Camp on!
