3 here as well and a decent assortment of air tools... One in the basement in my shop, another in the garage for my air powered MC lift and tools as well as tire duty and such, and a small pancake compressor just in case I have to do a job somewhere where I need a smaller air tools...
Wouldn't be without them...

So how 'bout powersaws? How many guys use them camping? My wife has a little B&D lithium saw, complete with hacksaw blades, extra batteries and charger. I just bought a 110v 16 inch chainsaw, perfect for any heavy woodcutting in a 100 foot radius. Unless I want to drag my generator a little further in a remote area where we are roughing it with marshmellows.
I'd love to do a bit of repair with a table saw. The camp neighbors expressions would be priceless. Since I got rid of the old cast iron model, I have this small light 10 inch one that stores easily. I can even hook my 50 gallon shop vac to it to keep the campsite tidy, just in case sawdust is considered park littering. But I think the vac is a bit much and the powerpole usually only has 50 amps total.

Well I got me one of them there Ryobi BATTERY operated chain saws, and I've cut myself dern near two cords of wood with the thing and it just keeps on goin' and a goin'
When they done come out with then new fangled Lithium Ion battery packs, that suck just keep on goin' and goin' like that there Energizer bunny does time two.
Best of all, It's QUIET and deosn't disturb me campin' neighbors (see my sermon (um rant) about campin' courtesy in another thread goin' on here there abouts).

I haven't seen "Motorcycle dryer" listed as a compressor use. The compressed air is great to get all the water, dust and dirt out of all the nooks and crannies of a motorcycle.

Hadn't thought of that one, that is something to remember for my next harley wash job!!

Can't beleive this hasn't been mentioned, re-charging the pressure tank on the well. Must not be that many "rural" people here.
Have always had one for that reason-first. even in the old days before most had one, the country people always did. most used to get their air at the (full)service stations when it was free. as a kid, was a 'townie' and we never had one, on the other hand, my in-laws always had one(50+yrs ago) and when we bought the house we got it, used it(for the well) and have since replaced it.
extra handy now, more tires and no free air anymore-hell no more full service stations either. also added a few nailers and impacts so it does get used. But when i was growing up and until after i was married, it was a rareity for someone to own one unless you had a real need, not a want for one, and most of those were the farm families in the surrounding area, or the guys that were in construction. Not until fairly recently have they become so common, and you'd be surprized how many people still don't own one-but they all seem to know who does

My first compressor was portable for putting air in the TT and TV tires, and I still use it. BUT, I really want the one that our local John Deere house has. Its massive and is used to put air in tractor tires and other implements. I had the pleasure of using to air up my truck tires (max 80psi) from 40psi and I about messed myself at how fast they shot air into those things.

We don't use an expensive air compressor.... all we need and works perfectly is a bicycle pump (and it blows all the pipes out)

I must be the only crazy one here I got my air compressor before I had a house.
back in 1973 Sears had a great sale on air compressors we were in the process of building a new house so I bought the compressor and kept it at the airport until the house was built.
I needed one to use while I was building my first airplane bucking rivits ECT.
