This is my entry!!
Banks Lake in Washington state.

If someone ever tells you AC electricity can't be stored just say two words "Banks Lake".

It's filled from pumps on the Grand Coulee dam. Then at peak electrical demand the water flows back through those pumps turning them into generators.
Notice the pipes in the upper right of the picture. They fill Banks Lake. the pump/generators are in the right powerhouse.

The latest in clean wind power!
I sure hope Banks Lake is full if someone want's to turn on a light today!!!!

Did you take the tour of the dam when you were there? It includes an awesome ride down the side of the dam in a glassed in elevator! I love that area.

I saw two semis parked at a truck stop last summer with extra long flat bed trailers. Each truck had one propeller blade on it. Huge!!!

A little ways down the road I saw a huge stand of windmills!!

Was riding my bicycle around Washington and BC when I came to the dam and met man who worked there and invited me to ride my bike with him through the dam. Rode a total of 2 1/2 miles. Plus got to go inside one of the tubes that were being repaired. Very interesting adventure to say the least.

That is a pretty awesome picnic table spot. I'm working on my sept. trip photos now, and this one stands out.

Flathead Lake - our campsite's table:

Wow I sure like the sunshine at Flathead lake and Lake Cushman. We went to eastern Washington for some sunshine but as you can see we had overcast and rain. Could have stayed home for that.

Thanks for posting Tizi, but the rules plainly state the table must be in the picture. Well maybe not!

That's so funny, we went to NW Montana to get some cool weather, grey skies, good fishing, and no people. Instead, weather was warm and sunny, so there were tons of people and poor fishing. Oh well, had a blast anyway!

Hey Lots o' Stuff, is this picnic table in enough to count? Kintla Lake, same trip:

Nice pictures of The Grand Coulee. And so it's a perpetual energy machine? Interesting, I never knew that. So watt do they charge? And what a lonely picnic table. It needs some visitors.

Is this cheating? I think not, having been to the moon many times.
