Agree on the knife holder. The oven vents are the metal ones just in front of the wood piece. Our 23SS does not have one - just the metal vents that are part of the stove/oven.

Definitely a knife rack - had one in a 5ver - handy! Tried to get one in next 5ver - not an option.

Definitely a knife holder. We don't have an oven and we have the slits. We have had them in two trailers and were told both times that they were for knives.

I guess I may be wrong.  But when the slot are blocked on our RV the fan on converter seems to run all the time.
Took over a year to get DW to believe me. Not going to tell her different.

I checked my owner's manual since some here didn't agree with it being a knife holder. Manual says it is a knife holder. I have a Roo 23B.
Someone said their converter fan ran all the time when knives were in the slots but our converter is under the refrig on the other side of the trailer.
