I recently tried to buy a new travel trailer via the internet from Sprad's RV in Reno, NV, and have had a negative experience I would like to share. After making an offer for what I was prepared to pay, and having them counter offer $2K more than my offer, I was thinking about it, but had not made any commitment to purchase.

That night, while cruising the internet, I came across an ad showing the same trailer advertised for $100 less than I had offered, apparently from a different sales person than I had been talking to. So, I called the salesperson who had listed his cell # in the ad, as well as his email. He acknowledged the ad, and I acknowledged that I had previously spoken to another salesperson.

They sent me an email stating that they would not sell it for the lower price advertised, further stating that they would not do business with me. I believe that this is deceptive sales practice, and unfair business practice. If a salesperson advertises a lower price, it should be honored.

Any advise or thoughts on this? I certainly would not recommend this dealer to anyone in the market for an RV.

You certainly don't need any advise and my thoughts are numerous. You did tell your salesman to "piss off" didn't you?

I would be nice if you forwarded all information to the Nevada Better Business. Asking them is this how business is done in Nevada, bait and switch business. I'm sure they'll be getting a call. Who knows, you might even getter a better deal out of after all the dust settles. JM2Cents Bill

I would just count your blessings that they did not want to to business with you. I doubt I would want to do business with them if they would not honor the lower advertised price. Your money will be better spent at another RV dealer.

Must be nice to have so many customers that they can just toss one aside over $100 difference in price. Go elsewhere.

I would forget them and move on. There has to be someone between Hudson and Nevada that can get you what you are looking for.
Good luck
