I am trying to figure out how to attach something to fiberglass. The kittywalk cozy climber is made to go over a door, but I would like to figure a way out to attach it to the outside of our Lesiure Travel camper van so it would hang over the bottom storage area. my cats could then go from storage area into the hanging climber. I would probably need to attach it to the fiberglass just below our awning. The climber would have to be removeable, but the holder of it permanent. Or possibly be attached somehow to awning w/o it being opened. You can go to www.kittywalk.com and go to cozy climber to get an idea of what I would like to do. Sorry I'm not real good at explaining myself.

From the picture it seems to be made to hang from a door. It looks like you would have to drill some holes and fabricate a bracket to hold the gadget. I would be very careful doing something like this.

Instead of drilling holes consider using 3m VHB tape.
It's got quite a reputation.
Here's a clip from the Discovery Channel's Modern Marvels show with some examples. Sticky Things

Sorry. You can't get there from here.

After looking at the climber, it appears that you could make something that would slip over the awning tube on your LTV and hang down to about a 65 inch +/-height from the ground. A wood bar or something to simulate the top of a door would be attached to the hooks hanging from the awning tube and the climber would then attach to the wood bar. A piece of 2x2 or similar could be used for the bar, and 1 inch wide aluminum strap or whatever it's called, could be used to bend and form the two hooks that slip over the awning tube. The wood bar would be screwed to the hooks, suggest using double sided foam tape or something similar to pad the back side of the bar and hooks so you don't scratch the side of the LTV. Don't drill holes in the LTV or the tube, and it may be wise to have three hooks to slip over the tube rather than two in case the climber with cat(s) in it gets sort of heavy.

Might try those hooks that are advertized to stick on and be removed without damage. We have used them on the paneling inside.
