Has anyone recently boondocked in Las Vegas?I'm thinking the Orleans Hotel Casino may be worth a try.Slide in,steps up ,etc.
I've read about the Clark County regs etc.
In the old days I'd overnight anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You might want to check out this website.

FreeCampgrounds.com

I don't know what is listed in Las Vegas or (Lost Vages) but you can find many other places too.

Last time I was there, I selected a nice and quiet street to park on near my friend's house. I was near one hotel that the parking rent a cop wanted to chase us out of it. So we went to another hotel, but I guess the regulations have increased and changed to get rid of some that where spending weeks in the hotel parking lots in more or less homeless conditions.

There is a lot of free camping out in the desert, out by Lake Mead was always popular.

Good Luck,

Fred.

A number of the hotels let you park in their lots. You may have to visit a hotel off the strip

We spent a couple weeks in Vegas last spring and stayed overnight in several of the casinos. The Orleans is good. They just ask that you don't appear to be camping which means no slides out and don't unhitch if you have a 5th wheel or trailer. We also stayed behind Bally and in the back lot of the Gold Coast. There's more information at this site - http://www.casinocamper.com/LasVegas.htm

Thanks Everyone,

For all the links and tips.Bally's and PH sound great.A tip I picked up concerns the Bellagio buffet on Fridays.Pay $20 for lunch (3pm or so),then enjoy the gourmet dinner ($35).Apparently you can also bypass the lineup by going to the bar(within the buffet area)and asked to be seated. If there's a line I'll give it a try.
The Mirage also has a lunch buffet that does not close between meals.
The Orleans has a free shuttle to mid-strip.This may be a better place to walk the border collie.
Thanks again folks.
