I'm on the Crossroads forum and own a 5er. Not a cruiser but a Zinger could not be happier with Crossroads.

The Open Range Journey models (5th wheel ones) are probably a step up or maybe a closer match to the Cross Roads cruiser in price.
The Open Range and Open Range Residential 5th wheels are probably a couple of steps up from the crusier - more similar to the Crossroads Seville - a high profile 5th wheel - below the high-end brands/models but approaching them in features. They have the weight of a Cruiser though because of their slide mechanisms.

I have looked at them both quite abit & i think if you were to get a CrossRoads Cruiser in the Patroit Edition it would move up closer to a Open Range in features.Thats why i like them is because of there weight & light pin weight.

We have had our Crossroads for a year and a half, about 7K miles on it thusfar and many, many nights of extended stay use at a local campground on the lake.
The Crossroads product is very well featured and built for it's price range and well insulated with the astrofoil. We have used ours in everything from hot humid Maine summer days to a snow storm in New Mexico!
The factory and owner support is 2nd only to high end products that cost much, much more then the Cruiser products. There is an active owners forum and anyone can visit the Crossroads Owner Service Center and schedule work in and out of warranty!

Between my brother and I we have had 4 Cruisers. Loved them all!!!
Just picked up our 2010 CF30SK last Saturday. Very few Cruiser owners have anything too bad to say about them. The customer service is as good as it gets.

Have had our CrossRoads Cruiser 26RK 5 years now, live it approx. 8 months a year. It's been towed all over USA & Canada, has about 58,000 Miles on it now and heading back down to Texas next week for another winter. It has stood up far better than I expected when we bought it in January 2004. I would purchase another in a flash. Probably one of the better mid price range/ quality units available. 2 year/ 5 year warranty and great factory support if required.
Good luck with your choice.

We have looked at several of both over the last couple of months. In particular the Open Range 337 and Cruiser cf30sk. We liked both for layout but like the cruiser even better for the kitchen layout. Both appear to be well built. To address the quality be sure to compare the cruiser Patriot/Provincial models to the Open Range. The cruiser has the upgrade insulation, 16" wheels, dual pane windows, suspension etc. The saver on the Open range seems to be the weight factor on the cable slides. This would allow a lighter towing weight for those running close to the limit. Our verdict is the Cruiser. Just waiting to sell off my KZ then will be ordering.

I agree with bradyk - the Patriot/Provincial package adds electric rear jacks, solid surface counters, upgrade sink/fixture, insulation, fridge, HW heater, 16" wheels/alum. rims, 50amp service w/ 2nd AC prep in bedroom, free standing dinette and more... The package is a huge savings over buying the options seperate. Also, you can order dual pane windows on the Cruiser line.

Have you seen the 4 point leveling and stabilization system on the new Open Ranges? It includes JT Strongarms on all four levelers.
