well I looked today to see if I had shock mounts. and to my surprise I dont have any kind of suspension at all. kick myself for not looking before I bought it. it looks like I have axles bolted to a big piece of steel that is welded to the frame. I will try to post some pictures later. has anyone else experiened this? and how hard is it to get some kind of springs or something installed? it is a 2009 Surveyor 306BH.

thanks

Every axle has a suspension system. If you don't see leaf springs, you most likely have torsion spring axles....

Are you sure that you do not have springs?
I doubt a new Forest River product would not have springs.

Okay so I looked at what a torsion spring axle is and you where right it is one of those. thank you. I do however want to know if I can put shocks or something on there to help take some of the bounce out. is that possible?

Which you will find is great.
I prefer them rather than leaf spring suspension systems.

I guessing some sort of torque flex suspension. Basically a big rubber band running through the axles. Works VERY good. Far better than any of the trailers I've owned with conventional leaf springs.

Those are pretty nice. It seems like those should eliminate any alignment issues also. I wonder if they sell retrofits for other makes, might be worth looking into.
