Got the notice for my 2008 2500HD too. Took it to the dealer and had it back in 20 minutes. If nothing else, piece of mind that it's taken care of.

I got the same letter. I am in no rush to have them "cut back" my carpet. Maybe I'll have them do it at the next regular service interval.

Just took my 08 silverado in to get one of them fancy 2 way GM remote starts and they told me they were performing the recall and changing out one of those pesky door actuators. I'll have to take a closer look to see what they did. It was raining cats and dogs when I picked it up, so I didn't go nosing around to see what exactly was performed. Dealership was in Northern New York.
