The 35J does not make good use of the limited space. Other models that we looked at yesterday had the ability to cover the sink and stove with pieces of countertop. She really like a Newmar model that had the kitchen in the drivers side slide. The counters were much deeper and appeared to have more space. We looked at Damon's when we were in Mass. this summer. We really liked some of the models but I have read some bad reviews here on the quality of the brand. You see a few complaints about them all but Damon has a couple of really bad threads.

I would stay with the Newmar. We are on our second one. They do a lot of stuff behind the counters and such in the actual construction design that makes a real difference. I would also try my best to buy it on a Ford chassis if available.

We're very happy with our J. DW is a professional chef and does a lot of nice cooking in the J with no problem.

I'm happy with my Newmar with bunks. It's a diesel pusher, but they also make the Canyon Star gas model with bunks.

Newmar, Winny and Tiffin are good ones to look at. Then pick the floorplan that works best for you.

There are class C models with bunks, too.

You have got the dinete bed in addition to the sofa in all Class As.

Except those coaches that hgave free-standing tables, not dinettes.

You might be able to get a new one for that price.

To me it is a no brainer. Go for a bunk model. No pulling out sofabeds and dinettes every night and then putting them away in the morning only to do it all again the next night. With a bunk model the adults have the living room space in the evening after the kids go to bed. I would not enjoy a class A with kids without bunks.

I agree...and look at the bunk models with 3 slides. The two slide models are much tighter... I know as I have had both.

Hi,

I was looking at some class C based on the 19,000 GVWR GM truck chassis, and found that they seem to have a lot of room, and many times have a large slide-out and cabover bunk bed. So one can sleep in the cabover, while another can sleep in the couch or table. Then there is a queen or king bed in the back.

I like the very large bathroom in my motorhome, with doors that close off the hallway and make a large area for getting dressed. But it would require converting the dinette and couch into beds each night.

The fun part is looking them over.

Have you looked around on RvSearch.com ?

Good luck,

Fred.

I loved my gas Class A. But, it would not pull my Tahoe. So, I had to go to a diesel
