I have been following much of the talk about how to store the batteries in a RV. I have a few questions.
1 are we talking about just the house battries or the battery used to start the motor also?
2 I keep seeing that you should not mix battery types. The house batteries are not the same as the motor battery. Is this true for charging them as well? I have decided to remove all the batteries from the MH and keep them in my heated shop with a trickel charger. Can I place all 3 in parallel on the charger?
Thank you all for the help I have received in these forums.

Hi peteandpatty,

Most of the conversations are about house batteries--because it applies to all RV's

Yes, charging algorithms are different for starter batteries and deep discharge batteries.

You should not use the same trickle charger for the starter battery and the house batteries, nor should all three batteries be kept in parallel.

Make sure you correctly balance the two batteries that will be placed in parallel. Have a look here at Method 2, or 3. (#1 is WRONG and is there for demonstration purposes)

correctly interconnecting multiple batteries

Let's hope for an early spring so we can all get "on the road" again!
