More about JBarca

One day my son brought home a 1982 Star Craft PU from his fiancee's parents house. Said he was "just" going to fix the soft spot in the floor. OH, only the soft soft I said, knowing better. Well 4 hrs later there was pieces of the PU all over my shed striped down to the frame. 3 months later, we had rebuilt the entire camper. Looked great!

Had it set up in the yard and DW comes out to take a look. Gee this is pretty nice, maybe we can go camping some time!!! Here I have been camping with the Scouts for 10 plus yrs and could not get her out in the woods for nothing. She liked camping, she camped all the time when she was younger with the Girl Scouts. Just she always would say, no you go camping with the son. So here was my chance, I jumped at it.

We took the PU that fall and camped twice. No power, just flashlights, remember we where camping. We had the best time we have had in a real long time. Kids are all grown up and out of the house and we found something new we both liked to do.

Next spring there was an RV show in town. Said to DW do you want to go? DW said, you know better than go if we are not going to buy. Well, you know how that goes. Soon after the show, we where proud owners of a Coleman Mesa PU. We soon turned into camping animals. In fact the kids would say, aren't you ever home any more? No we are out camping.

Well after camping for some time and still loving it, we started looking at TT's. Especially after dealing with wet canvas a few too many times. Well you know what they say, do not go looking if you are not going to buy...

We are now proud owners of a Sunline 26 foot TT. WOW this is living! We both can't wait to go and have a great time. Go every chance we can, allmost all year round.

One day I asked DW, why didn't you want to go camping before? DW
said I don't like sleeping on the ground. If I had only asked 25 years earlier, we could of been RV'ing a whole lot longer. Live and learn.
