RE: Roadtrek Aux Battery Life

We bought our RT 2j0P April 2007, check the water level every two months or so, or before we leave for a trip. The batteries hold a charge and do great. We use our RT as our second vehicle as well. We have never let the batteries run down below 50%. Don & Jean 2007 Roadtrek 210Popular

RE: Van City RV, St Louis

We bought our 2007 Roadtrek Popular 210 from Van City in March 2007. Very reputable dealer, has given us excellent service. We live approximately 100 miles from Van City and when we call or need service, they are on top of it as we pull into the lot. I would definitely buy from Van City again. No hard sell, check out all the Class B's on the lot and if you want questions answered, they will address or leave you alone to check the vehicles on your time frame. RE: PW Plateau Sprinter Dealer/Service recommendation?

Van City - St. Louis is a Pleasureway Dealer. We bought our RT 210P from Van City and service has been excellent. If interested, ask for Dan and I'm sure he will take care of you. http://www.vancityrv.com/ Jean & Don 2007 Roadtrek 210P

RE: New battery, gen won't run AC tho? 04 PW Plateau TD

We had similar problem with our 2007 RT 210P - Worked fine on Shore Power, but Generator did not generate any electricity. Generator ran fine. Had it checked at the dealer, and the problem was fixed with a new Transfer Switch. Dealer told me that it is rare that a Transfer Switch goes out, but it does happen. Was under warranty, so no cost to us. Don & Jean 2007 Roadtrek 210 Popular

RE: MPG on a 1996 Roadtrek 210

We purchased our 2007 RT 210 Popular from Van City and we have never regreted it. They are great for service. We live approx 110 miles from Van City and whenever I need service, I call ahead, and they take care of any problems immediately. They are an excellent company to do business with and I recommend them highly. They are up front and no tricks. Regarding mileage, we have over 27,000 miles on our 210 and I keep records of every tank. We use ours as our second vehicle, and City/Hiway combined we average 13 1/2 miler per gallon consistently. On the higway, we'll average 14 to 15 MPG depending on terrain. Don & Jean 2007 Roadtrek 210 Popular

RE: Transmission coolers

The Scan Gauge will not only monitor the Transmision Temp., but also a multitude of other items, such as MPG, Engine Temp., RPM, Distance to empty and many more. Google Scangauge. Don & Jean 2007 Roadtrek 210 Popular

RE: Transmission coolers

We have a Scan Gauge installed on our RT 210P and while we were in FL last month, I noticed on at least one occasion that my Transmission Fluid Temperature had gone up to 206 degrees while the outside temperature that day was about 77 degrees approximately and traveling level roads with a lot of start & stop going thru small towns. I had a External Trans. Cooler installed last week by an Independent Shop whom uses NAPA parts. Installed a medium size cooler at a cost of $225 and on a drive of 160 miles this past Friday, I noticed the temperature was running at least 30 degrees or more less than before the Trans. Cooler was installed. I'm very pleased with the installation as they did a nice job of installing and I believe at a reasonable price. Don & Jean 2007 Roadtrek 210 Popular

RE: Where to rent CLASS B in Chicagoland area?

Try Obies - We rented a Great West Sprinter Class B several years ago. They are located in the Chicago area. Try Obies.com or google it. Don & Jean 2007 Roadtrek 210 Popular

RE: Wallydocking @ Cracker Barrel

We have stayed at Cracker Barrel's many times. Very convenient. We stop about five or six in the evening, have dinner and ask the Manager if we can spend the night. Never been refused, and then we have breakfast in the morning. Always nice an quiet, and level parking. No noise during the night as you have at Wallmart's sometimes. Not knocking Walmart, we have used them as well and never been refused. Don & Jean 2007 Roadtrek 210 Popular
