I was on my way to Thorn-hill on Tuesday but Burnetta told me we are Doggy sitting for a neighbor all week long and I thought it might be a bit much with three "babies" in the rig. Oh well.....

OMG.....Kathie, where are you coming from? I have No dog in this fight one way or another....My social contact with Vince and Ellie has been `confined to these Rallies BUT I have from the beginning tried to take the high road and try to get everyone back onto a lighter side of things. You accuse me of taking things too far...My Gawd, you guys have continued this BS for over a year. Why not come here and explain the whole situation and let the chips fall where they may. I know what the story is, your side and Vince and Ellie's side. I dont know what was in Vince's mind when he sold Raffle tickets...BUT I have a difficult time believing that John, Marcelle, Kaitland, Vince and Ellie formed a conspiracy and then formed the intent to defraud all those at the Rally. I didnt buy a Raffle ticket so I dont have personal knowledge what the kids said about where the monies were going. As far as this King thing goes.... your Kidding, Right? Ive never been "fond" of that BS...so you may take the Crown and place it in a location where the Sun does not shine. As to going to the "Mash" again,,,Gee whiz, Ill get over it. Of course, this is all my Humble opinion. Ill make arrangements with Whoever is going to the "Fools" Rally from this area to bring the "items" with them so that you can keep it within your "groupie's". You guys have taken this to the N'th degree....so be it. Im not particularily pissed at anyone...BUT I will, always, make my feelings known and not sit back as if nothing is happening. I wish others here would chime in with what they really think of this whole situation...I can only speak my mind, not anyone else's. So Good Luck with all your endeavors...Thanks for the FUN times we have all had.

Also on a lighter note, Ive heard estimates of from 200-500.00 of the monies that were involved in this Hoopla, heck your alcohol bill weekly is more than that.(thats a joke)! Im a reasonable person, but this whole ordeal is way out of proportion.... again IMHO.

It was very nice meeting so many first timers and equally nice seeing posts from the same. Gee and so very many Dog people....my kind of group! Keep your eye on that Aussie Karen, might end up in my RV and lost forever(the Queen really loved ours).

Its funny to see this post today. While at a Rally over the weekend, the RV parked next to me( a Diplomat), did exactly the same thing. I was walking back to my RV about 8pm and all of a sudden the front marker lights of the Diplomat flashed about 3-4 times. I just figured someone was inside playing with the switch.

I feel for you....have a 96 MH that puzzled me in the electrical department. I would guess that yours has a Battery isolator someplace(I did) and over the years, I replaced that isolator twice. I finally took the advice of some on here and put in a three way switch(hi-amp switch) and of course others replace the isolator with a solenoid. One thing to remember with a new alternator is that some require a certain RPM to "excite" (start producing voltage). Wish I could help more but since I did most of this work myself, it was a matter of trial and error. Good Luck

Now that you mention it Ellie(taking my crown off), I did ask around at the Mash as to why things happened as they did. Most are quite tight lipped! I wont take sides one way or another, but I will, as I always have, make my opinion known. You guys have always been wonderful in regards to participating in all facets of the Rallies. I never heard anyone complain about Vince taking the time and spending his own money in preparing those mounds of Tri-tip at more than one Mash! Sure, everyone contributes but some go above and beyond in their generosity. I dont particularly want to get involved in a mass dispute between war'ing parties and I think its time to get past the problem(whatever it is) and move on and forget about it! We're all their to have FUN NOT Fight!
On a personal note and one from my heart, Vince and Ellie have enough on their plate, they are charged with the care of a very special young man and if that "special" young man has memories of Rallies past, people at those Rallies, events at those Rallies, than WHY would anyone want to deny the slightest bit of Happiness these memories might garner in that young mans mind? Im sorry, but thats how I feel...disregard the adult issues and move on!!!
Now (putting the crown back on)...in my Kingdom, all subjects are created equal, no person is excluded and its the decree of this King, that everyone have FUN! I certainly welcome my subjects view on this matter and once again, Im not pointing fingers, I just want to move on and all of us can be Happy Campers once again. YOUR KING Has Spoken.....get'er done!

OK guys, the King and Queen are home safe and Sound....a mission statement will follow in days to come but for now A Big THANK YOU for all those involved and also for welcoming our neighbors Dan(aka Daniela) and Patricia....they had a Ball! Also a note about posting those rediculous(sp) pictures of me in those shorts....you maybe immediately "crowned".....Those still sitting around the campfire tonite, have a "shot" for me. Who says these Bears have become "humanized"..thats non sense. The bears maybe looking for an easy meal BUT just because they are in and around campgrounds DOES NOT mean they cannot be scared off. How many incidents of Black Bears being in campgrounds do you think take place on a nightly basis, then compare that to the number of maulings there are.....you cant go to Yosemite or anyplace in the Sierra's without coming across those that have encountered black bears. I dont remember how many times Ive seen them and each time, a little noise or some flashlight's and their off running. Im not saying dont be prepared....but be real and dont alarm everyone into believing the only way to deal with a bear is violence. Typical response, we go into their territory and if they dont move out, bring out the gun and shoot! Lets try some common sense first! IMHO

Darn it Tom....you have hit it on the Head, I agree with you completely. Let me also say, while in Glacier Bay, why would you want to limit your view to one side of the ship? Seems to me, those times Ive been in Glacier Bay, having that 360' view cannot be topped...if the Glacier is calfing on the opposite side of your balcony, you have just missed a wondorous event. And Tom is correct about using that saved money on select shore excursions....Helicopter to Mendenhall Glacier(take the champagne bottle with ya) and have a toast while there.
In the end, get the cabin your most comfortable with and one thats within your budget BUT I still say, dont spend all your time in the cabin...get out and enjoy the views from above and meet as many fellow passengers as you can, you'll have a lifetime of memories either way!
